3 year old tantrums

So DC has always been prone to a good old tantrum and we have been through phases when they’re rife and then a lot calmer then they come back etc. He has had a speech delay (but doing much better now and able to communicate a lot easier). Within the last six months, may be more, his tantrums have really decreased. Still the odd whinge/cry but has felt a lot more within standard 3 year old territory. The last couple of weeks his tantrums have come back with the intensity of when he was younger. He’s pretty much fine at home, just the normal whinge for not getting their own way/not wanting to do something/tiredness but nothing out of the ordinary. It’s been more when he’s been out of the house, his tantrums go from being ok to being past the point of no return very quickly and when in that state trying to hit/bite/spit at others. Has anyone been through similar & is it just another phase to ride through? It’s been so nice taking him places and not having to be on top of him for fear of him trying to hurt others 😅 he is lovely and sociable but when he gets to that point just turns very quickly. The consequence is always that we leave the place, talk it through afterwards

How old is he exactly @Toystory123? Is he 3, 3.5 or nearer 4?

If he has speech delay is he still seeing the SaLT? And has he had his hearing checked since the newborn one?

3, 5mnths @SleafordSods getting SALT was a mission in the first place! He has one last session of 3 in a couple of weeks and then will be discharged, will refer him again once he hits 3 and a half for his pronunciation & hearing was checked again when he was just over 2 and didn’t flag anything

So it sounds as though Glue Ear has been ruled out then if he’s had a further hearing test.

Sorry for all of the questions, can I ask if he goes to Nursery? Smile
