Blimey oh riley!

8.5 months old. She only started crawling 2 weeks ago and already she's bored of that and pulling to stand, mainly on me at every second of the day! It's sooooooo cute but seeing as how it's using my bare leg or arm to pull up on and it doesn't stop, it's really quite annoying too, in the nicest possible way!!!
If I remain still for more than a second she crawls over and pulls up to stand on me! Putting washing in machine, folding clothes, helping other 2 girls brush their teeth, making the beds, emptying dishwasher etc etc.

And next we have the trying to walk back breaking stage and falling down a lot stage!

Wonderful isn't it, sincerely, it's all tiring, but utterly wonderful watching your little ones develop under your eye

When I visited the playground with DS1 at that stage, I would stand him against the rope climbing frame, so that he could hold it to steady himself.

Once, a small boy watched us with some concern and then eventually walked up and said 'He's not going to climb it, you know.'

dd was better once she realised that the sofa / chair / laundry basket wouldn't keep moving away from her like I did...

Friend's DS who I look afterona Monday is at this stage 2, again after just a week or so of climbing. I can't leave him for a secnd unless he is asleep and fastened into hs pushchair!

It is very sweet but so tiring. I have a house viewing and am trying to clear up. She just tried to pull to stand on a wastepaper basket and fell over. Shortly before that it was the open dishwasher door, fell again. Hate these bloody house viewings but am desperate to sell so we don't lose the place we've found. Have a headache and am in a right old grumpy tired mood!

I agree - DD stands and tries to pull the laptop off my lap - not cute at all

its annoying to me to. dd2 doest use my leg she uses anything that is clearly not haevy enough to support her weight!! cue lots of me running over to hold whatever it is down.

oh and she likes to use her buggy to and then climbs up it to stand and bounce in the seat!!! and she is desperate to get hold of my laptop, which luckily is insured against accidental damage!!

Mine stands at the sofa and plays with my laptop.
My days of MNing on the sofa are over [sob]

It is annoying but I also feel really proud when ds does it! He started crawling about a month ago and pulled up on the sofa the same day! I was so shocked cos he seemed to do it all in one go and it took me by suprise. He uses my leg a lot but also the tv unit which I hate when he does it cos I'm terrified he'll fall and crack is head.
