Obsessive about hair

Opinions please. My 9 year old daughter is suddenly obsessive about her hair. She can do it herself however it takes so long for her to get it “perfect” before school that I end up taking over to do it quicker. She has started to get herself so worked up about it being perfect that I end up keep redoing as it’s too bumpy (even when it’s barely noticeable. Before anyone says I should do it once and she’ll have to deal with it that’s easier said than done. She suffers with major anxiety issues and that would be another thing on a list of her things she’s getting worked up about during the day. Is anyone having or had issues like this please?

If she’s very anxious is there any concerns about ASD?

A lot of her anxiety stems from when she was two her dad was involved in a car accident that left him with a severe brain injury so as she has got older it’s affecting her more now she has more awareness about bad things.
