Sort of sleep training advice

My baby is 11 months, and until recently slept 7-7 in his own cot in his own room. We have just had a stint of bronchitis and he would only settle back to sleep in our bed.

He's better now, but seems to have learnt that if he wakes up, I'll go comfort him the first time, put him in his cot back asleep. But then he crocodile cries several more times until I bring him to bed with us.

Any advice on how I can get him back to sleeping through in his own cot?

Extra info - his nap times in the day are 10am, 30 mins, and then 2pm for 1hr. I have no problem getting him to bed at bedtime, it just seems to be a middle of the night thing.

Well the only way to do it is to keep putting him back in the cot, and don't bring in your bed. But you will get way less sleep that way! We switched to a floor bed at 12 months, so we didn't have to 'transfer' - and then i just sleep there with her if necessary. He's been really ill though, and needs comfort.
