My little one just turned 12m and I noticed around 9m she would put her head back like stretching her neck. A lot of people said it is normal and just her learning her muscles etc. She's still doing it but now she twitches her head to her shoulder every so often. She's just started spinning in a circle too and shaking her head. I assume part of learning since she has watched some others do it. She is developing well and was walking before 11m and says words so I've got no real concerns other than these movements.
Is this really just a phase? My family are worried as they haven't seen it before. I was going to reach out to my hv/gp but they don't really tend to take things seriously since she is developing well otherwise.
If anyone else's little one has done this - did they grow out of it? If they didn't - is there anything to help or prepare for?
