20mth old is constantly sucking her tongue

as a comforter. She's never had a dummy but just sucked her tongue. She only saying a few words as well. At 20mth is it a concern?

My nearly 5yo did this. She still does it occassionally now if she's tired. We thought it was a bit odd at first but were never concerned about it. Why do you think it might be a problem?

It didn't seem to affect our dd speech at all. At 20m I wouldn't be too concerned about your dd speech as long as you know that she is understanding what you say. One of mine didn't really speak until he was around 2.5y. If you are really concerned about her speech and you think she isn't understanding most of what you are saying, it might be an idea to have her hearing tested.
