At a loss

I have a 6yo who has been sent home today from school for the 2nd time suspended due to her behaviour. We are seeking advice from a child psychologist who has not come up with a conclusive diagnosis (she is not assessing any neurodiversity). The child is extremely bright so much so the school have stated on a social level they would fit in a year 5 class.
They have always struggled with their emotional intelligence and their behaviour has reached critical (mostly at school) over year 2.
We are unsure if we need to apply for an EHCP or pay for a full assessment for adhd or autism (which in my heart I dont feel they have but willing to go down that avenue if it will provide answers).
Asking this network to see if anyone out there has experienced or experiencing this.

What did she do to warrant being sent home @Parentstruggles?

@SleafordSods she likes to be at the front of a line (the school are very aware of this). She was refused to leave lunch club first and found this difficult to handle so reacted in a bad way, throwing things and hitting out at a teacher. Valid reason for the suspension. I posted to understand if anyone on thia forum has had success with helping their child manage 'big negative feelings' they have to avoid this reaction.
