I’m so anxious about my son’s development. He was 3.5 weeks early so ‘just’ a preemie. He’s now 9.5 months and doesn’t ‘babble’ or copy me speaking no matter how hard I try. He is very loud and goes ‘geee’ and gurgles a lot but we don’t or can’t seem to progress from that. We never have ‘conversations’, he’s loudest by himself no matter how hard I try to engage him to respond or reply, he just reverts to raspberries. He also has zero interest in moving but that’s another issue that I’m less concerned about…

Do you see anyone regularly if he’s a premmie like a Paeditrician or your HV @Momma2904?

My first thought with the raspberries is how are his teeth coming along?

My son blew a lot of raspberries whenever he teethed because apparently the buzzing sensation soothes their gums. He would babble a little then revert to raspberries - and his teeth came thick and fast!

Teeth settled down for a bit at 10m and he almost immediately cracked out babbling and his first words.
