My son is over 2 and half and he goes ti nursery. The SENCO recently noticed that my son lies on his tummy for good couple of mins and it happens very often which affects on his learning. When they try to get him up he gets upset and begin to lie on chairs and table 🙄 They told me he might be suffering in silent which we dnt know so told me to refer to doc and HV so went to see doc and said its not medical reasons and hes a toddler its more of a behaviour problem. The doc told me he will grow out of it. But my son is under speech and language/social therapy. I told nursery this morning regarding what the doc said and they still not happy with the response so I spoke to the HV and she said nursery should be doing it as hes under their care but she told me that it could be more of behaviour issues so she will email me all behaviour management stuff. My son doss lies on his tummy at home but once or twice and it made me wonder too but I thought it could be a toddler thing or he might be lacking something. If anyone had any similar issues with their child please share it with me or any advice on how to stop him from lying on his tummy because its worrying me alot since nursery had addressed it.
Thank you
