Upset and crying

my daughter has started getting upset at swimming lessons. She is all happy beforehand and chatting, then when it’s time to line up and jump in she gets upset, snuggles into me and starts crying. She gets really upset but also shy, so hides into me
she has been swimming at the same place for years! And this is new!

also started a new hobby in the week and where she has always been really outgoing, she now clings to me and then gets upset, crying and jsut seems really nervous and overwhelmed

She is 7. No big life changes. Happy at school

anyone got advice?

Sorry if I have this wrong but assume that since she is 7 and has been going swimming there for years she can already swim so you don't need to be there for a safety aspect and also since she is 7 assume she can also just get changed herself as well? So I would cut yourself out of the equation drop her off and tell her to go in and sort herself out? So she won't see you and will probably just get on with it. If she needs help with hair drying meet her after lesson in changing rooms?

Other than that she is growing up and developing her personality so things change all the time I dont think you need to worry too much.
