My 11-year-old’s idea: helping other kids with confidence at school (parent feedback wanted)
Hi everyone,
I’m here on behalf of my son, who’s 11 and home educated. One of his projects is to create something to help people/society and he came up with this. Even though he isn’t in school himself, he’s noticed (through friends, cousins, and just talking with people) that a lot of kids his age really struggle with confidence, whether it’s shyness, anxiety about speaking up, or finding it hard to make friends.
He doesn’t have this issue personally, but he’s really aware of it in others and came up with a little “business idea” he wants to explore: an app that gives kids a daily pep talk, a small confidence challenge (like “say hi to someone new”), and maybe some simple scripts for tricky moments (like asking to join a group). It’s not therapy, just a daily boost to help kids feel braver and more positive at school.
We’ve put together a very short anonymous survey (2 minutes) to see what parents think. He’s super keen to get real feedback:

This is completely his project, I’m just helping him share it. He’ll be over the moon if a few parents take part. Thanks so much for reading and for any thoughts you can share in advance.
