plagiocephaly after 12 months

We have been concerned about my son's head shape for some time. At approx 3 months we were referred to a paediatric doctor via NHS who advised he did have plagiocephaly however it was withing normal range and will sort itself out. He did say he would keep his file open and to get back in touch (currently juggling the challenges of trying to reach him through the GP!!) but needless to say we don't feel anything has changed. The more I Google plagiocephaly after 12 months the more fear I have that I should have advocated more for my son at the original time (approx Dec/Jan time) and we have now missed the opportunity to help his head shape. Does anyone have any advice or positive stories? My son is 14 months. I'm riddled with guilt and stress that I haven't done enough. 🙁

At 14 months a helmet is now your only option. Unfortunately you've missed the boat for a PN (perfect noggin) to correct head shape.

Unfortunately in the UK we do very little for plagio or brachio. Did he have torticollis that caused the plagiocephaly?

Not that we were told. He's had no other development issues and has strong neck movement. I read online that helmets don't do anything from 14 months. Do you have any experience with them?
