My DD who is nearly 2 has just started putting her hands in her dirty nappy. It’s only been happening for the last few days, but she only tends to have a dirty nappy first thing in a morning. She isn’t a crier, so she doesn’t wake us up when she wakes, we always get up around the same time each day, but she is sometimes awake before us, and I have no idea how long she has been up for. With the recent super hot weather, we have been dressing her in just a vest with the poppers underneath, but she seems to be getting into the nappy at the side, at the top of her leg at the back next to her bum cheek 🤦🏼♀️ she doesn’t do this during the day, but she has only had wet nappies during the day over the last few days 😩
The last few days, I have gone to get her out of bed, and her hands and bed are covered in poop, and she has also spread it on her face and in her hair. We proceed to bath and get her/her bed cleaned, but I’m concerned that she is going to make herself sick 😩 today I tried getting up earlier, and she wasn’t awake when I got up, but I spent 2 minutes going to make a bottle for her and a hot drink for myself, and by the time I was back upstairs she was awake and covered again 🤦🏼♀️
She has been teething, so the poop have been standard teething poops, which obviously haven’t helped the situation 🤦🏼♀️ but are there any suggestions as to how we can stop her from doing this?
