I can't give my 2 year old pens at all to colour with , as she makes a bee line for my walls and frantically scribbles while I plead with her to stop and try and take the pen away. Today has left me feeling terrible, as I threatened to smack her hand ,if she kept doing it. I'm positive,I'd never follow through on that, as I can't stand children being physically punished and I've never hurt my child before but my home getting wrecked really upsets me. I'm a worn out, single mum who wants to do creative activities with my child without getting cross. Please can someone advise me how to best cope with this behaviour.
