3 month old - separation anxiety

Hello, my 3 month old over night started screaming when ever I hand her to her father my husband. My husband has been amazing and has the same amount of paternity leave as I do and we are wanting to do this together. This has thrown a big spanner in the works. I’m hardly now able to rest, and my husband feels low and misses his daddy daughter cuddles.
has anyone experienced this so early on? Should we leave her to cry on Dad until she stops before handing her back to me? Or not let her get that upset? We’re not sure how to train her out of this if that’s even possible at this age. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

important facts:

exclusively breastfed
premature
currently 15 weeks

This isn't separation anxiety!

Interesting yes I wasn’t sure what it is. What would you suggest?

How premature was she? She might quite likely still be in what should be the fourth trimester, which does probably mean she just wants you! You're absolute comfort to her, it's not so much separation anxiety as just an evolutionary drive to be near milk etc.

She'll also pick up on stiffness/ nerves from dad. Has he tried popping her in a sling and walking around? The sound of his heartbeat and gentle movement could settle her, it might also be better if you aren't necessarily right there as she may well know and cry out for you!

They'll get there, he needs to not take in personally in the meantime x

She was 6 weeks prem. it just caught us off guard as he has been there for her, holding her, her sleeping on him 50% of the time since she was born. She is now 16 weeks old
