my ds is 10 weeks old (almost 11weeks) and is still not cooing, he started to smile in the last week or so, his sister (now 2) started to smile and coo by 6 weeks and was doing it a lot not just now and again ..
I know I shouldn’t compare but should this be a worry ?

they are like chalk and cheese dd was a quite baby never cried was always very content and happy , whereas ds is the opposite he’s either asleep or awake crying .. (he is on gaviscon for reflux also)

Not cooing doesn’t mean there’s something wrong, he could just be a bit late to reach that stage, especially if he’s in pain with the reflux.

I would do the 2 month Ages & Stages though for a bit of reassurance.

Most babies will score in the grey in a couple of areas, if it’s more than that or if he’s scoring black in any section then I’d talk to your HV and show her the results Smile
