I AM SURE there must be many mumsnetters who can give you more information on the ones they have sampled.

Several swimming lesson providers in North London offer courses for pre-school children, focusing on building water confidence and foundational swimming skills. Some popular options include Water Babies, Turtle Tots, Swimming Nature and Better.org.
These programs often have specific classes for different age ranges within the pre-school category, like "Dippers" for babies, "Splashers" for toddlers, and "Paddlers" for older preschoolers.

Here's a more detailed look at some of the options:

Water Babies
Offers lessons for babies and toddlers, focusing on building confidence and introducing basic swimming skills through fun activities.

Turtle Tots
Provides lessons for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in warm, dedicated pool facilities.

Swimming Nature
Specializes in swimming lessons for all ages, including bespoke baby lessons for children under 3, in a supportive environment.

Better.org
Offers a comprehensive parent and toddler program with classes like "Dippers," "Splashers," and "Paddlers," as well as preschool lessons for children aged 3-5, with options for both parent-assisted and independent swimming.

Oakley Park Swimming
Provides group and private lessons for all ages, including specialized classes for babies and preschoolers, with a focus on small class sizes and warm water.

I was in the same boat a years ago and ended up booking through Sports Generation – really impressed! The instructors are lovely and so patient with my little one (we're in the Kensington area). It was easy to find a class that suited our schedule and the pool is warm, which makes a huge difference for the kids. Would definitely recommend making a call if you haven't already. They've just openened up new central london locations in baker street.
