Help!!! How can I get my DS, nearly 4 to do poos on the loo?! Tried Everything!!!!

Hi there

My DS is 3 years and 9 months old. Nearly 5 months ago we had a new baby whom thank goodness he adores. About a month before the baby arrived DS absolutely stopped going for a poo on the toilet and it feels like he is never going to return to it...

Wees are no problem at all - at home, nursery (which he loves) or out and he would absolutely not go back into nappies (they are for babies mummy) so day in day out I have to clean him up and throw pants away many times a week. We have tried starcharts - seeing our Health Visitor/Nursery Nurse - rewards - defo no grumping at him though for thats not good we have done it but no - WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

His nursery is noticing more and more and its really flaming horrid to change him frankly!

He is still in a nappy at night time but loves to have a bottle at bedtime so I don't really want to withdraw that yet - what to do?

and maybe make a little corner in the bathroom with a bit of a fun theme going on to try and make him want to be in there.

we did something similar to what northern is saying.
I bought kando soap and put it on a high shelf and told ds that this was his own special pooh soap that no one..ABSOLUTELY NO ONE else is allowed to touch except him after a pooh. we get it down after a pooh and he uses it. to this day this is what we do (he is nearly 5)
he also has special bum wipes..cheepos from wilkinsons which are for him.
we make it very personal and grown up for him
