8/9 year old girls is this normal ??

In the last year my daughter seems to come home agitated from school and there always seems to be some sort of dispute between the group of girls in her class. Is this normal at this age? Her so called BFF seems to be the ring leader in some of it and her mum doesn’t get back to be about play dates anymore and so stopped asking (we are not really friends as she’s not my cup of tea)
Does this get any better? Is it my fault because I don’t make more of an effort with the mums?

As someone who has 2 girls of a similar age, unfortunately yes! I’m just trying to teach my daughter to stay out of the drama and be kind x

Totally normal. If she’s not getting back to you about play dates and her DD is being unkind then the friendship may have run its course. Suggest inviting a different child to tea one night.

Has she got any hobbies outside of school? That will usually take the pressure off her relationships in school.
