3mnth3wk old suddenly fussing with bottle?

Hi mums,
Looking for a bit of advice or reassurance. My baby is 3 months and 3 weeks old, formula fed, and for the past week he’s been really fussy with his bottles. He’ll take 1 or 2 ounces, then start crying, fussing, arching his back and refusing to carry on. It’s like he wants the bottle but then gets upset once he starts drinking.

He’s also been a bit more cranky in general lately. He wants constant attention and stimulation—if he’s not playing or being entertained, he starts crying. It’s been quite draining and I’m not sure what’s going on.

Nappies are fine and he’s alert and laughing when he’s not upset, so I don’t think he’s unwell. Just wondering if it could be a growth spurt, teething etc?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through this stage. Thanks 🙏

Tried a faster teat? He might be frustrated with the flow.

Have you got the wonder weeks app? It might be a leap.

I do agree with trying a faster flow test though Smile
