4 month sleep regression

Any advice welcome. I think my little one is going through the 4 month sleep regression. She is finding it hard to go into a deep sleep at night and waking up numerous times before going down for the night. She is also waking up super early and being wide awake before going down around 6 for a 2 hour solid nap. Any advice on how to cope/ strategies or if your little one has been through similar.

So sorry that you haven’t had any replies to this. Hopefully someone will be along soon but if not, I’d post again in the Sleep Section Brew

Hi, we’ve just come out the other side of this (I hope!) with our second. It never happened with our first.

all you can do really is ride it out and go to bed early in terms of managing your sleep deprivation.

for your baby, I would say the best things to do are just to stay consistent. Keep your consistent bedtime routine, and when they wake in the night just leave them be if they are not upset. If they are hungry, give a feed with no fuss and then put back in the cot. They might stay awake for a while but if not upset just leave them to fall asleep.

it is annoying and exhausting but all you can do is help them through it. Before you know it it will pass. Ours lasted 3 weeks x
