Hi all

since going to school my little girl 5 has changed so much ,
one minute she is so loving attentive caring etc the next minute she doesn’t get what she wants she literally flips her shit 👀
half hour meltdown there because a Christmas book was away with the elf and she wanted it now .

she can hit out and shout scream when she’s like this ,
is this a normal development with stamping authority ?
she’s my first .
and by god are we both stubborn 😆
please any advice on how to keep calm and or any stories you have please share

Half an hour for a tantrum and hitting is getting a bit unusual for 5, most have grown out of hitting with the toddler years.

How is she at school? Have they mentioned anything like friendships?

And how does she do on this simple progress checker?

When I say half an hour I mean from tanturm to sobbing ti back to normal lol ,

the hitting is more when she’s being defiant like before she starts to get very upset. .

she is good at school an angel apparently lol holds good friendships has a close group of friends and is making more now as she’s at school .

it’s more when she is not getting her own way it can go into a massive meltdown if I don’t talk her round before hand
