6 month old baby development

Hi all,

I have 6 month old son and was concerned with some of his behaviours, not sure if they are normal or not:

  • he constantly kicks his leg, did this since he was born I think
  • He keeps staring at his hands and fingers, happens a lot
  • been a week on solids and he is not taking them well, he gags and vomits even purees

Apart from that, he does not respond to his name, nor does he babble( blows raspberries and squeals), cannot roll tummy to back and cannot sit unsupported yet.

Not sure if I am overthinking as FTM or if they are normal?

Many Thanks

I personally wouldn’t be worried about a thing you’ve posted but I’m not an expert Smile

If you’re worried about the babbling then you could do this very simple progress checker from Speech & Language UK.

And if you want some support with weaning there’s a great weaning section on MN under “Feed the World”. Smile

Did you manage to do the progress checker @Maya26? Smile
