Is this normal for a 8 month old ?

Hi our 8 month old baby while eating mainly starts making what can only be described as like "constipation noises and groaning noises" and rotating her hands and wrists alot ?

Is this normal ?

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I’m interested to think why you don’t?

Do you spend much time with other babies?

It's my first baby and I thought the rotating of the hands and wrists could be signs of autism ? 😞 and also the grunting and groaning/ constipation noises when eating food i didn't know what that was?

I would step away from googling signs of ASD and make an effort to spend a bit more time around babies of a similar age if you can

Twirling wrists and feet is perfectly normal baby behaviour and I’d only start to be looking into it more once they reach 18 months, so a huge way off in terms of baby development.

The noises are probably just then getting used to eating food. It’s all so new for them at this age.

I’d also recommend reading up on Play Schemas as most will go through a stage of lining things up which can be perfectly normal and age appropriate.
