Bleeding gums

Hi, I think my 14 month old is going through another teething episode. He’s very irritated, getting annoyed when eating, rubbing his gums and drooling. However the past 2 days when I have brushed his teeth there has been blood. We didn’t have this on previous teething rounds so wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I think it’s either his canines or molars but hard to see because he does not want anyone near his mouth. I also think there is an odour on his breath. He has a blister on his lip which we went to the pharmacy about and they said it looks like he has bitten his lip and nothing to worry about.

I honestly can’t remember an odour or bleeding when we brushed. Have you tried to have a feel to see if anything is coming through?

Yes managed to get a feel and look and one of his central molars has cut through and looks like other one is almost in too so I think that could have been the reason for the bleeding. Although it did look more like it was coming from gums where he already has teeth. Anyway there was only a tiny bit of blood yesterday when I brushed and no odour so I think I will just keep an eye on it!

Just an update in case anyone else has the same issue- I spoke to a dentist and they said the bleeding is nothing to worry about during teething episodes. Just advised to brush gently and it would resolve itself as more teeth came though
