Have put 2 dcs (2 and 4) in same room in readiness for no. 3's arrival and they WILL NOT go to sleep!! Both are exhausted all day and then turn into crazy things when light is switched off! Jumping around shouting etc etc until late.

Tried sticker chart incentives which work but only for a night or 2 and not with younger one.

Any advice please???

take the 2 yr old up earlier read story settle off and then try taking 4 yr old up so they cant play together

sorry not much advise as i just have the one but my friend had to do this with her two

its probably to tempting to play as still young so maybe if youngest is asleep by the time the older one goes up thee is no play mate and hopefully fall asleep

good luck

Thanks that's a good idea. We were hoping that putting both to bed at once would be easier than doing it separately but I think doing them one at a time is the answer.
Thanks again.

If there's 2 of you, you could do their normal bedtime routine, 4yo back downstairs for cuddle up story time, 2yo stright to bed for cuddle up story time
