No lumps

My dd is 10 months and was weaned at 5 months, by 7 months she was on 3 meals a day. She likes baby cereal and stage 1 jars, will eat finger foods like banana, grapes, cheese, but she won't move to stage 2 jars and won't eat weetabix or ready brek or mashed potato. How do I progress her on to eating more lumpy foods, she will spit out any lumps. Or should I just give her everything in finger food form? Cereal will be difficult

Dd didn't like lumps at first. I just sieved everything I cooked, and gave her finger foods. Try the stage 2 jars again in a couple of weeks. Dd hated 'mushy' cereal like weetabix etc, but as soon as she had a couple of teeth, I introduced her to cheerios without milk (she had her milk in a bottle) - she still loves 'em.

Its probably not the lumps that she doesn't like. Jars taste awful, now her taste buds are better developed just give her what you cook. By 1yr they should be eating the same as you. just blend meat with a hand blender. The other option is give everything finger food (even mash and mushy peas)Its messy but she may just not want to be fed.

She eats pasta and pieces of neat and fish as finger food and toast but I must admit I don't cook proper food every day that she can share so have to resort to jars. I've tried freezing mash and veg but she won't eat it.
