My 8 month old, I believe is behind. And I’ve got to be honest, I hate the baby stage. I have a two year old too and I just can’t wait for the youngest to get older.
he’s got like two teeth, my eldest had like 8 by now. He’s not moving on from puree no matter how I try.
he’s not sitting up properly.
hes constantly got a cough or a cold.
im currently laying on the sofa having to sleep here yet again so he can sleep in his bouncy chair because he coughs too much to lay down at night. Never coughs during the day just at night.
im over it.
I just need to rant and maybe not feel so alone in it.
I wish time would go faster.

If he’s coughing a lot at night it could be house dust mite allergy? Have a read of this from Allergy UK and see what you think.

If you go seriously think he’s behind though I would fill in both of these:

9 month Ages & Stages

& the 6 month Social & Emotional Ages & Stages and book on to see your HV to discuss the results.

This SaLT progress checker can be very useful also Flowers

Forgot to add that I had one that would not move in from smooth purées either. It turned out to be Tongue Tie, even though I’d been told by many HCPs that they definitely didn’t have it.

Does your LO have any of these symptoms?
