Help! Toddler tantrums

I really need some advice on what to do. My LO is 2 + 9months old. He has recently started lashing out and his behaviour is so terrible. I’m really struggling on managing it at the minute. I’m good at ignoring the tantrums/screaming but what do I do about him hitting and grabbing me and squeezing me with all his might till he is shaking?
im worried because I really struggled with my behaviour and regulating my emotions as a child and I would get so so angry and I was never helped or guided. All that was done was I got locked in a room until I stopped and it didn’t help me at all growing up. I can see the same traits in my little boy with the smallest things creating the biggest problems and him becoming super angry. I’m really at my wits end and just want to know how I can support him but control this behaviour to a certain extent. My partner is military so is away currently so it’s just me with my 2 year old and 6 month old so it’s all getting a lot!

Sounds like you have a lot to deal with. Are you living on the base?

I think the first thing to do is to fill in the really quick progress checker to see if it could be a little problem with communication that’s making him frustrated.

Does he go to any kind of Childcare yet?
