No cooing 3 months old

My three month old has not cooed or made any noises apart from “eh heh” before leading up to crying. She watches our mouths and when we pause for response she appears to be concentrating hard moving her mouth and tongue and lips but with no sound or breath coming out. Has anyone experienced this and if so how soon after did the cooing and babbling start? anything to encourage coos?

I’m not sure if it is related to head tilt and reflux which she has again if anyone experienced head tilt and reflux together with lack of cooing please respond! Really anxious as my First born was cooing by two months and babbling soon after.

If they’re in pain from the reflux it could affect their behaviour but I think it’s worth filling in the 2 month Ages & Stages.

You can discuss the results with your HV or talk to us if you’d want to discuss them sooner Smile
