Hi,
My son is 12 months old and still doesn’t say any words or attempt to say any. He occasionally says mama or dada but this is just random and not reciprocal. I never thought about autism until a friend mentioned this to me. He makes noises like a humming and a high pitched squeal but not really much more. He plays games claps his hands brings a tou to me when I ask “is that mine”. He interacts with us well laughs and smiles etc. he shakes his head a lot randomly which someone picked up on. he’s recently started moving his fingers in a “strange” way almost like flicking them really fast but this has only been occasionally. I’m not bothered either way if these are the signs but I’m becoming worried that he still hasn’t said anything yet. Should I be worried ?. Do I need to seek any help yet or is it way too early?.
