2.5 year old not talking

Our 2.5 year old daughter just babbles but will not speak. Cannot follow simple instructions and will cry/tantrum/grab your hand when she wants something. She will sing songs from Disney movies and that's it. Will she ever speak? We have just started speech therapy but I'm not hopeful. Anyone else in the same boat? When ever i search for posts it's from years ago

She may speak, some DC do speak a little later.

Have you been given anything to do with her at home and how is she getting on with her homework?

Have they referred her for a hearing test too as Glue Ear can cause speech delay.

If you’re on the UK, has the HV made any other referrals?

Yeah she has had 3 hearing test and passed each one. She has only just been reffered for speech therapy and early intervention so we are waiting for the report to be sent on things we can do with her at home and they won't be seeing her again for another 6 weeks.
