She is currently sat under a table saying she doesn't want to go.

She has always loved school - the routine etc is what she thrives on. The few times she had to stay off preschool sick she sobbed the whole time.

I don't know what is going on or how to fix this I don't want my baby sad.

speak to the teacher and teaching assistant - see if there has been an incident that has made her feel like this.

Is there anything happened at home that might be making her feel anxious?

Most of all be firm but don't make a fuss. In my house school is non negotiable but then I haven't had a school refuser just a stroppy madam.

Might it be something as simply as her being overtired due to the heat? Mine aren't sleeping as well as normal. In fact I've kept DS#2 off school today after 2 sleepless nights with the heat and a horrible persistent cough. He went to 2 parties at the weekend and there were loads of fractious crying children thanks to the heat.

tell her id really like her to tell you whats up, and get ready, and ive got ben 10 stickers for her and i think shes cool and i have a little green night light light thingy from ikea for her. will that work?

She tends not to get tired tbh.

I passed on the message NappiesGalore - she says that no-one wants to play with her I don't know if that is true or if it is 4 yr old world where if one person wants to play with someone else, then no-one wants to play iyswim.

I spoke to her teacher - she says she hasn't noticed any problems, but that she will have a chat to her today
