Please can someone give me examples of what exactly is meant by babbling and cooing?! People ask me if DS is doing them but I have to confess I don’t know what they sound like?

Cooing is the vowel sounds very little babies make, oohs and aahs.

Babbling is with consonants, so 'ba', 'a-da', 'ga-ga-ga', etc.

Shrieking and squealing often appear before babbling!

Ah okay, thank you! We’re definitely at the squealing stage, along with some sounds like ah-bu?!
