My Mum has recently come back from abroad and is living with us at the moment. She keeps dropping hints that she would like us to have another baby. We have a little girl of 3 already, and we are very happy at the moment with no planns for another.
The problem is she keeps saying to my daughter every time she see's a baby,"would you like mummy to have a baby", and wouldn't you like a little brother or sister. I just ignored her as I thought dd didn't really have a clue what she was talking about anyway, but yesterday she said out of the blue "have you got a little brother in your tummy?". I said no and she just looked sad and said oh!
When I mentioned it to my mum she just laughed then said it would do her good to have a sibling. HELP!!!

I guess not much you can do. Annoying though it is! my dd used to ask for a brother or sister constantly. Think she has given up now ( nearly 9)

I'd honestly sit her down and say you weren't planning on having another (but aren't ruling it out) and would appreciate if she stopped filling your DD's head with things that will upset her when it doesn't happen.

Honestly - that's almost cruel "would you like a baby, well you can't!"

for you

Tell her to feck off... and if she's that desparate for a baby then she can crack on herself

I know, mothers can be a nightmare!!. I'll have to buy her one of those creepy re- born dolls to keep her happy.
