My 17 month old son hates getting dressed. He cries, tries to run away, bends backwards like into the shape of a banana, dude would be great at pilates lol. Has anybody else experienced this and have you any tips?

My son can be the same some days. We let him
pick his clothes out of the drawers which sometimes makes him more likely to put them on nicely. Or, I make up songs about getting dressed in each item of clothing and that usually distracts him from being silly

I've perfected chasing him round the lounge wrangling him into 1 puece of clothing at a time, hahah. Nappies are slightly more complicated though..

My son’s a bit older (22months) but the one thing that always works for us is when I pretend to put his clothes on me or put them on his sister. He’s every much in his “mineeee!!!” Phase so it works every time.

“oh well DS if you don’t want to wear your trousers we’ll just put them on big sister…” make sure he’s watching. He runs over immediately shouting “noooo my trousers!”
