I have a 5 yo son who is in year 1. He started rugby training for the 1st time last week. This week he was a total nightmare, I’m embarrassed. He was purposely running into kids when they was asked to dodge, he was throwing the ball high in the air when they was supposed to be practising passing and catching, he started clinging onto the coach’s leg and wouldn’t let go when asked.
At his recent parents evening the teacher said he’s behind in his reading and writing, he struggles to concentrate and doesn’t listen.
I just don’t know what to do with him. Does anyone have any similar experiences or advice? Should I just pull him out of rugby or keep him at it because he says he still wants to go…
