My almost 5 year old DD is going through the process of being diagnosed with ASD. She has her final appointment at the end of the month where we will find out the outcome. The psychologist has said she is showing signs in all 5 areas they look for etc but just needs the ADOS.
For the last 18 months my daughter has been speaking like a baby, not babbling but talking in a baby like tone. She doesn't do this all the time, usually when she is unsure of an environment or if she is nervous about something but it is becoming more and more frequent, probably about 70% of her speech is like this now. She is a very fluent speaker and was an early talker so now speech problems from what I know already. Does this sound like stimming? I really don't know what's causing it.
