Constant Newborn Cluster Feeding

Hello,

I'm new here and have a question. My baby is cluster feeding after every 10 minutes or so. He sleeps on my breast and when I burp him, he asks for more so I have to breastfeed again. It’s been a long night due to this.

I’ve tried to give him his dummy to soothe him but he refuses it. 🥲

Is this a cue to sickness? Or is he just feeding for comfort?

Cluster feeding is really normal in the newborn days, especially in the evening / over night. They also like the comfort of it so they’ll fall asleep whilst feeding then you try to move them, they wake up, and want more feeding as comfort. It’s like having lots of little snacks.
It’s very normal, but it does calm down!
