Armpit hair (8yo)

My 8yo (Y5) DD is clearly reaching puberty. She has had armpit hair for a good few months now, and so far has been dealing with it and even quite proud of it, however, it's now getting quite long and noticeable. She's emotionally very young although I've spoken to her about it and she is aware of puberty, and what it entails.

I have also told her that whilst I want her to put it off as long as possible, if she wants to remove it, I will help her.

Has anyone got any advice on the best way to remove under arm hair on someone so young? I feel her skin would be too delicate to shave, but I'm not sure about the creams either, are creams more gentle? Are there any other forms of painless hair removal that you know of?

Has anyone been in a similar position? What did you do?

Hi, I'm not in a similar situation with my daughter but I had armpit hair at around 9 years old and decided to shave it at around 10 I think.
Im a beauty therapist so maybe I can offer a little advice on removal.
I would try to put off removing it for as long as you can like you said.
However if I was going to choose between removal creams and shaving, I'd choose shaving.
Creams can be very harsh on the skin, I'd invest in a good quality razor and shaving gel, and do it for her.

I hope that helps.
