Five month old covering just one ear?

A few weeks ago I noticed that DS would hold his hands to his right ear. And now, he will cover it.

I feel it can’t be a ‘sensory’ behaviour as it’s not both ears.

And it’s not a teething behaviour as he’s not tugging or pulling on it.

I’ve googled but can only find results for either covering both ears (sensory overload) or tugging at one ear (teething).

Has anyone come across this before?

Has your GP ruled out an ear infection?

No, I will contact them now! I didn’t think of that…

My son was doing this, had his ears checked multiple times, realised it was his hair growing and tickling the back of his ear 🙃

Hmm, he is still pretty bald 😆
