4 month old not turning to sound

Hello,

My son is turning 4 month next week and he does not follow sound or turn towards sound. His hearing was checked and has no issues.

He moves his head left and right all the time so sometimes it looks like he is turning to sound but he is just turning his head.

looking at milestone,he should have apparently following sound from 2 months. I am so anxious that there is developmental delay. Anybody can relate or have any advice maybe?

I would ask your HV to refer him for a hearing test.

It might be worth filing in the 4 month Ages & Stages before you speak to them

@TinyMouseTheatre his newborn hearing test was repeated again and he passed it. He meets pretty much all other milestones, even tries to talk back. I am just not sure why he died not turn towards the sound

Was it just once that he didn't turn to sound or is it always?

Does he react when he hears your voice or DH's?

@TinyMouseTheatre most of the time he does not turn to sound, occasionally he does it sometimes. Even if he does not turn to my voice, he usually gives a smile when he hears my voice. Just not sure why he would just not turn towards it.

@Maya26 My DD does not turn to sound at all :(. (Nor make any eye contact!)
