teeth appearing in wrong order?!

Hi all - my DD is 10 months, and in the last month has got her two bottom middle teeth through. She doesnt yet have her middle top teeth, but the one to the right has just appeared, and it looks like the one to the left of the middle two is about to make an appearance! All the books say this is not the 'right' order - but can anyone reassure me this is still normal/common enough???
Thanks!

the trouble is - your baby didn't read the book.....

I wouldn't worry bout it - they'll all get there eventually

curleyshirley · 09/05/2008 18:15

thanks tommy - thats a good way of telling me to ignore the books and get on with it. I need reminding every so often

Is there right order? Honestly?
Because all 6 of mine have had theirs coming through in completely different ways. Infact dc6 is 13 months and still has not on tooth!!

SoupKitchen · 09/05/2008 18:18

DS didnt get his in the right order either, actually had his molars before his second pair of front bottom teeth came in

Speaking to others this is very common - even our dentist said so, but apparantly if teeth do come through "in the wrong order" Dc often have more trouble with the tething process.

My son has the wierdest combination of teeth and he is 10mo. He had the bottom tow, and then one more popped up next to them, so three on the bottom.

Now he has two "fangs" on the top with no sign of the other teeth?

Don't think my baby read the book either

micci25 · 09/05/2008 18:20

i wasnt aware there was a right order for teeth to come in? my lil sis was born with 5 teeth my dd1 got hers quite late i think i cant remember what order they came in

VanillaPumpkin · 09/05/2008 18:20

My dd1 looked like a vampire in all her 1st birthday photos as she had her top canines through and nothing else . She has lovely little teeth now.

pinkspottywellies · 09/05/2008 18:21

Dd's teeth came through in that order too. Fairly well by the book apart from the fangs first then the middle top two. I have heard that it can make it more painful but DD didn't seem too bad.

MegSophandEmma · 09/05/2008 18:22

DD3s two bottom teeth came through and then her fangs. She looked soooo cute!!

curleyshirley · 09/05/2008 18:23

yes, kittywise, there are perfect little diagrams showing how their perfect little teeth will pop through in a perfect little order (yes yes I know I am the OP and asked the question, but now a tad annoyed I let The Books worry me!!!).

Thanks for the reassurance everyone - shall look forward to DD's fang look for a while

Don't listen to the books at all. My ds got his first 2 bottom teeth as the books said around 7 months, then his two top canines last week, he's 9 months now and looks like a mini vampire!

kittywise · 09/05/2008 19:20

curley, I think all my books fell apart years ago!!!!

twinkle5 · 09/05/2008 19:27

I have another mini-vampire! Bottom middle two, followed by top canines, now he is cutting the top middles. He is 11 months and obviously hasn't read the books either!

SpecialOffer · 09/05/2008 21:28

So glad there are other mini-vampires out there! I call my son "fang boy!"
