10.5 month old not crawling

Hi there,
I was hoping for some advice. My son is 10.5 months old and still not crawling. I spend hours every day playing with him and doing exercises to try to get him moving but with no success. He can pivot and roll well and likes to be on his feet holding my hands. He tries to pull to stand but again still needs support to do this. He also hasn't managed to start clapping or waving yet.

Any advice would be appreciated 🙏🏻

It’s always good to contact your health visitor if you have worries about development.
But, to offer some reassurance - it’s good that he’s trying to pull himself up and wanting to stand alot. That shows he obviously has the motivation to move and is trying to, he’s just doing it his own way. My son didn’t crawl until he was over a year old, but he walked from 9 months. So he walked before crawling or even rolling basically. He had absolutely no interest in being on his knees. He is nearly 2 now and completely fine - there is nothing to show that he developed any differently to other kids his age. He runs around, crawls, rolls, flings himself all over the place.
So don’t worry just yet - keep encouraging him to crawl if you can, but maybe also lean into what he is doing eg wanting to stand and help him develop the skills he’s trying to focus on himself.

@Row23 thank you for your feedback! He just seems to show no interest in crawling sometimes he'll try and bring one knee up but just rolls to the side 🤷🏻‍♀️ it gets so overwhelming because I can't help but compare him to other babies the same age. I will maybe try and focus more on the walking for now

My son was very late crawling and never really enjoyed it. He crawled for maybe a week then started walking (late crawling early walking) pretty soon went to running. It hasn’t affected him in any way he loves running climbing jumping and is a very active child. Just never enjoyed crawling

@Jada2024 thank you for my reply! In the past 2 days he has started to commando crawl and clapping his hands so I'm hopeful he's just going to pick It all up really soon 🙏🏻🙏🏻
