My dd did this age 2 (except the number recognition 10-20, but we hadn’t really done much number stuff whereas she had loads of reading and singing practice!).

She could recite really long stories (think full works of Julia Donaldson!), sing songs in English and French (I’m a French speaker so she heard lots of French songs) but she forgot all the French a few years later as I didn’t keep it up.

DS did not do some of this until age 5 and I’ve noticed now his rate of progress is astounding (whereas dd went at a steadier rate at primary school).

DD is now just starting her GCSEs at a state comp and is predicted all 8s and 9s. She still has fantastic learning skills and attitude, and a sort-of-eidetic memory. She is “more able” but not exceptional. She doesn’t understand why people struggle to learn or remember things.

It’s really fun having a child like this. Take lots of videos of them reciting stories - they are so much fun to look back on!

This is so good to hear. My daughter is turning 2 in March and so far is quite far ahead of her similar age friends. Nursery comment on it frequently and I am amazed by her sometimes! She is a lot of fun!!
It's nice to know that your daughter has carried on enjoying learning, I hope we have the same 🥰
