Frustrated mummy- struggling to potty train!

Happy Dance GIF by Sesame Street

My child turns 3 end of March and I’m trying to potty train him but I’m really struggling and it’s getting me down- I try not to let things like this get to me but I just don’t know what else to do.
He’ll just wear pants and he can pull them up/down. We have a reward chart with stickers. I’ve tried rewarding with sweets. I’ll put the potty in front of the tv or with toys to relax him. He has a book explaining ‘no more nappies’. He can say wees and poos must be done on the potty. He won’t tell me he needs a wee or poo- but can tell me he’s done a poo.
we’ve had a few successful wees. I’ll encourage him to use the potty and can tell if he needs a wee. I’ll sit him on the potty and he’ll sit there for a while, not do anything, then a few minutes later he’ll wee on the floor.
am I doing something wrong? Am I missing something? I’m feeling the pressure - my husband says we need to potty train him but leaving the responsibility to me and says to just keep trying.
I’ve potty trained 2 girls before and never found it this hard!

I could have written this. Have you had any progress? X

Well I don’t think your DS is the problem, sounds like your DS is struggling a bit but your DH sounds like an unsupportive, unhelpful oaf.

Nextxtime he says anything like that suggest he books a week of so that he can do the Potty Training.
