I have some concerns about my 10 year old son, and I guess I'm looking for similar stories, or some reassurance he'll turn out OK.
Since he was little he's been reluctant or unable to play independently. Now he is older, the issue is that he has no interest in toys or any sort of activity.
The things he won't do; Lego, marble runs, drawing, sport, building kits, hot wheels, train sets, jigsaws, any type of art, puzzles.
He will: read, watch Horrible Histories or David Attenborough, play on his tablet, jump about his room playing in his head, occasionally magtiles. He likes board games and cooking but will not suggest doing those things.
He is super bright, but has terrible handwriting and concentration. He does very well at school, but doesn't have any particular friends, has been assessed for fine motor issues and is in normal parameters.
Does anyone else have a similar child? We also have a 3 year old so he's not an only.
