5 month old cooing

My baby 5 months old has suddenly become very quiet. Before Christmas they were babbling, squealing and making some very dinosaur like noises !

since then they have had a chest infection, sore throat , 3rd jabs (which were a nightmare) and been diagnosed with potential CMPA. I have noticed over the last couple of weeks they have become really quiet, doesn’t make any of the noises they used to and only winges and moans or cries as well as giggling. They are engaged with us, smiles, is sociable with other people, often smiling and engaging with them. They are content and hitting all their other milestones, just very quiet at the moment. Currently they are working on rolling as well as having a sleep regression.

i am a SEND teacher in a early years setting so have lots of thoughts in my head and have been googling. Particularly around babies and children stopping doing skills they once could do.

Any Advice for a first time mum who is winding themselves up ?! Has my baby just got lots in their plate and being noisy is just in pause?!

Sounds pretty normal if he's been ill and is now working on rolling.

I'd wait until he's 6 months and then do the Talking Point Progress Checker.
