Recently (past 6-8months) ds has started to run around shaking a toy figure and either singing songs or pretend playing - but in his head? It’s like he’s either reenacting scenes from his tv shows or things that happened in nursery. He talks out loud while he does this. The toy figure he holds is unrelated to the game, he just swings it in his hands at the same time.
He chooses this over most other toys and games at home at the moment. Just wondering if anyone else’s kids did this? Hope I’m explaining it correctly.
Up until he started this a few months ago, he loved playing with his toys - small figures, cars, jigsaws, pretend play with tool box or doctor set etc.
Otherwise, he’s social - loves playing with other kids, active and loves going to soft play, playgrounds, out on his scooter, football. He would choose to do these things over anything else.
This play thing is just something he does at home. Just looking for some reassurance I suppose that this is typical behaviour and not something to be concerned about.
