Is this the 4 month sleep regression?

Baby was going 4-5 hours between waking overnight. Now he’s going to bed at 8 and waking at 11, 1, 3, 5 and then 8-9. So his last stretch is long.
i tend to offer feeds each time although I doubt it’s hunger every time. In the day he can go much longer between feeds

He also only does 30 min naps during the day,
usually always contact as he wakes and cries upon transfer and will never fall asleep on his own. Only in the pram briefly.
he also panics on waking after 30 mins and cries hard.

Any advice? Thank you!

Sounds like it could be the regression. It apparently lasts 2 - 6 weeks for most according to huckleberry. Ours didn't end so after 3 months of 8 - 10 wakes a night we sleep trained. Yours will probably end within a few weeks. We got unlucky.
